Gown: The gown is a cotehardie of the 13th century and should be made from red velvet. There should be grommets down the front and a silver belt worn low on the waist. The outer sleeves should go to a point well past the fingertips. All of the trim should be silver. For accuracy, an undergown of red cotton or linen should be worn underneath the velvet if possible.
An Advanced version of the basic gown should be made of silk velvet; with the skirt and lower sleeves painted and burnout applied.
Shoes: The shoes should be a laced, tan bootie worn with red stockings or socks.
Accessories: Jewelry – half-circle headchain, 4 rings and wing shaped earrings.
An Advanced version will include SA accessories from TopShop (sold out as of 2014).
Props: Props that can be included are the gold arrow, an English longbow or a halberd. Please note that this costume template does not endorse the use of actual weapons.
